Amelia’s Corn
It’s quite amazing to think that the corn plant Amelia started last spring could fit in the palm of her hand. I’m wondering what she fed her corn plant to make it grow so high. Looking forward to seeing all of you next week at the Open House!

Last spring, during our Plant Unit in Science, we planted Indian corn and beans. Today I received this picture of Nicholas with his Indian corn! What a difference a few months makes!
Welcome to 2nd Grade!!!!!
I love the month of August and all the preparations for the new school year! IF your child is a new 2nd grader in my class this fall, I have one important task you can do for me, and that is to click on the link and take the Parent Survey. At the end of the school year we made a goal we would read at least 20 minutes every day. I know some students are reading their library books, some are reading on other sites….. but the one way I can monitor their reading is if they go on Raz-kids.com.
