We had a FANTASTIC day at Meijer Gardens! We learned the life cycle of plants, the plant parts and what their jobs are, and we were able to go into the gardens to see many interesting and unusual plants. After lunch and because the weather was perfect…. we enjoyed the free time to explore the children’s play area.

I have to apologize for the wrong date yesterday on the blog about the field trip. I was told today that the trip was scheduled for October 10! In your child’s mail today there was a red note, giving you more details about the trip.
Klackle charges $5 per person for the day, whether you are a student or parent. The parent club will be paying $3 for each student in my class. I will send an envelope home to collect the other $2 in the homework packet.
We will also need to bring a sack lunch and a snack… since we will be gone most of the day.
THINK SUNSHINE!!!!!
I forgot my camera…. grrrrrr….. however, we learned SO much at the greenhouse. We planted a flower and was able to take them home! Be watching for a present! After our tour and presentation we were treated with fruit juice and cookies! We learned how hot it is in a greenhouse and we learned there were cold places where they store tulips. We also learned they have small trains in the greenhouse and big semi trucks outside. We had a great time!
