It was a little chilly, but we had a great time at the Turkey Trot!

On Tuesday late afternoon, we gathered at the Hudsonville High School football field for the ANNUAL HUDSONVILLE TURKEY TROT.  The teams were divided by grades.  The second graders were lined up and you could FEEL the energy before the race began! The announcer said, “On your mark, get set, GO,” and the runners began… first the girls ran and then the boys.  Within seconds they raced past Tommy Turkey… who TRIED his best to run fast… he just couldn’t do it, (I think it was because someone tore off some of his feathers).  It was great to see everyone try their best and have fun.  I know Emmalee won some Apple Cider with her 3rd place finish.  Kensley’s dad got to cross the finish line with his two beautiful daughters by his side!  I had a wonderful time tonight… I cannot wait until next year’s Turkey Trot event!
