I hope you enjoyed the long weekend! Hopefully everyone is rested for 4 more days of early morning wake-ups, packing lunches, snacks, homework folders, and water bottles! Please let me know, via email or note, if your child has a different after-school plan.

The district has adopted a K-12 behavior matrix that is familiar to Georgetown.  The district model, SOAR, blends beautifully with our school mission of BE NICE, WORK HARD, LEARN WELL.  We want our kids to SOAR wherever they are at Georgetown — and many of our existing expectations have meshed well with BE SAFE, OWN IT, ACT RESPONSIBLY and BE RESPECTFUL.  This week our SOAR focus is the BUS.  We’ll talk about appropriate behavior on the bus in a classroom lesson followed by a whole school lesson.  You’ll hear more about this as the week progresses.
